About me
Nana Ama Kwakye
Professional, human, authoritative
Nana Ama Kwakye is a cultural advocate and social entrepreneur whose work centers on the preservation of Bono heritage and the empowerment of young people through education and entrepreneurship.
Rooted in Akan tradition and informed by lived experience across different communities, her work emphasizes culture as a foundation for development rather than a relic of the past. She approaches social impact with a focus on structure, dignity, and long-term capacity building.
She leads Bonofie, a cultural platform dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Bono identity, language, and history. Under this platform, initiatives such as the Meko Bono Festival serve as spaces for cultural expression, education, and intergenerational continuity.
She also oversees Bonofie Community Links, the social impact arm focused on supporting girls in entrepreneurship and assisting girls and boys with access to education, scholarships, and opportunity pathways.
Across all initiatives, Nana Ama Kwakye maintains a clear principle: empowerment must equip people to stand independently, not bind them to dependency or gratitude.
Her work is guided by the belief expressed in the Adinkra principle Nyame ne Hene — God is King — affirming that all authority and purpose remain under divine supremacy
